BEST DRAWING OF A HAND EVER
We were now asked to bring in something that has sentimental meaning to us, (of course, I bought nail polish) and put it into our had. Then we had to find a 'pose', and get a clear sheet of paper on which we traced our hand with white board marker. Soon after, we applied the clear sheet onto a new peice of paper and traced that. Then we begun to add the detail and shade.

What Worked Well
I think that the overall look of my hand drawing is very nice. I am definitely proud of it, and i really like how it turned out. One of the things that i think worked was the shading. It really gave my drawing texture and shape, accenting the fingers and creases in my hand. It was, however, one of the easiest things to do, as all I had to do was observe the shade falling onto my hand as i help the object. The light was coming from the top of my hand, so there fore the bottom was the darkest. I also think that my nails looked very realistic. They were easy to draw, and the reason they are just dark black is because I was actually wear nail polish when I traced my picture. Another thing that I think I did well was the wrinkles inside my hand. Some of them look surprisingly realistic, but some of them are in the wrong place.
Even Better If
I think that there are many flaws within this picture, ones that could be simply fixed, and ones that only a very professional artist could help with (like mr. Keys). I really think that the shape of my hand is a little un-believable. For example, my wrist sort of looks a little too straight, like a tree stump. In reality my wrist has a small curve in it, where it gets smaller. Additionally, my fingers are very bad. I erased them at least 6 times, and even then I was very un-happy with them. They didnt have a shape, and therefore look very elastic, like my fingers have no bones. This problem is very hard for me to correct (I have tried several times), but if you take a look at my first drawing of a hand, the modification is still very great! overall I really feel that by drawing skills did develop a lot, even if there are many small things that I should have tried fix to make my drawing even better. I really wish that could have added a bit more of a point
PROCCES
This was a challenging drawing that was supposed to help us develop our ability to shade, and make pictures look realistic. To prepare us for this, we started of our first class by drawing a hand, for a before - after look at things. As you can see, my talent and ability to draw hands really did change, and in a good way. Then we drew a ball on a table, with there being light on one side, and none on the other. This activity helped us a lot in preparing for many different summatives, including the ball print lino, the egg on a table drawing, and this one.
This drawing was supposed to be one of the most challenging, but I found it quite easy. First o all, it was very obvious I was going to bring in nail polish, and i'm happy I did, as nail polish has a nice and simple shape. Sadly, they camera turned it the other way around, but it reads "OPI". First, I started with tracing my hand through the clear sheet, which proved to be easier to than i had originally expected. I really enjoy making this drawing, as it taught me a lot! After i traced my hand on a sheet of clear plastic, I put the sheet down onto a large A3 paper, and started tracing that. When i got all the main points i did something like 'connect the dots'. When the outlines were done, i begun to fill everything out, making my sketch more accurate as i observed my hand in that position. Finally, i just did a few fix ups and voila!

This was my first picture of a hand. As you can see, the resembelence is not noticable at all, since the change is very great.
